Favorite Client Story:

Jennifer came to me for a European facial. She informed me that she, her mother and two sisters love spa services, have had many spa services and had high expectations. After her relaxing facial, I explained what services and products would most benefit Jennifer’s skin. Jennifer, her mother and two sisters are now all loyal clients and report their skin has never looked better.

Why I became an Aesthetician:  

I read a book that said,” Think back to when you were a very young child and what you wanted to be when you grew up".  Chances are you would be very successful if you pursued the career that you wanted as a child.  My ambition as a 4 year old was to be an Avon Lady!  36 years later I became a successful aesthetician!

I helped a client emotionally as well as physically by clearing up a face full of acne, by faithfully administering salicylic peels and recommending the correct LaRoche-Posay products.  Her goal was to go to Hawaii without any acne and we accomplished that goal this past spring.

Why I became an Aesthetician:  

I decided to become an aesthetician after I received wonderful results from the services of a great aesthetician in my native Poland. I thought I could help others achieve the same positive results I got.

Come in two types- 1.) When clients tell me they have been trying for years to resolve a skin issue without success and together we figure it out; and, 2.) When new clients come in without much hope of a successful resolution and we fix their problem.

Why I became an Aesthetician:  

My mother and aunt own a spa in a Chicago and I was their apprentice for a little while to see if I would like to pursue skin care as my career, after a few short months I decided this was the job for me! Immediately I enrolled in a school to become an esthetician.

Every story is worthy of being on this page but if I had to narrow it down I would like to talk about my client Jane (not her real name). Her acne started at puberty and developed into adult acne. The scaring and discoloration were compared to dime size cysts that would form deep under her skin. She described her skin as ugly, frustrating and embarrassing. Jane was an incredibly beautiful girl that was dealing with a major skin condition that seemed to be hopeless. What she needed was an intense professional skincare regimen to clean her pores and a home care program to combat the oil production in her skin. The results were amazing. With the help of our high frequency and galvanic treatments her skin had done a full circle, and for me that is the most rewarding part of my job, making a difference that’s noticeable.

My client who was exasperated with spending globs of money at make-up counters and dermatologists came to me and I gave her a microdermabrasion that she said was a better treatment than at the doctor’s and she felt very cared for and that I wasn't pushing her to spend, spend, spend. Instead I started her out with samples and spaced out her treatments to make it as affordable as possible. Eventually, we introduced all the home care products to take great care of her skin and a professional regimen that she was super excited about.

Why I became an Aesthetician:  

I have always been very interested in skin care. Having my own skin care challenge with adult acne brought me to see an aesthetician. She helped me a great deal with my skin and inspired me with a new career. I want to help people the way she helped me.

Reiki(pronounced rA- kE) is a modern therapeutic application of the ancient, traditional Japanese art of deep healing and relaxation.  Not only do some spas offer Reiki, but many medical institutions also offer this service as it’s been proven to be useful in alleviating symptoms and cancer related side effects from chemo and radiation.
Clients are amazed at the level of relaxation obtained in just a single session of this energy work, but also feel “recharged and balanced”.  Many clients report positive changes physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I worked with a client that has a severe form of fibromyalgia. She suffered from chronic pain and stiffness, chronic fatigue, as well as sleeplessness. In the initial treatment plan, I worked with her on a regular basis (once a week for two months). After the second massage, she called me and expressed great amazement in how well she was now feeling. Before treatment she was lucky to get 4 straight hours of sleep, after treatment she was resting a full 8 straight hours! Carrie started receiving massages from me when she became pregnant and started experiencing back pain. She scheduled a Prenatal Massage once a month throughout her pregnancy. Her regular massages helped ease her aches and pains, increased her flexibility, reduced her stress, and helped her bond more with her baby. After a week of being overdue she scheduled a reflexology session (with a doctor's note) to stimulate the onset of labor, which she was desperate for! During her appointment she started experiencing her first contractions. She labored all night and the next morning her healthy baby boy was born; on my birthday!
