Schenden’s Spas strategically markets spas and services to meet the needs of both employees and our expanding base of loyal clients. In general, we do not wait until there is an open position to post employment opportunities.

We network with industry professionals and make time to interview qualified, interested parties. When it is clear that Schenden’s Spas and a potential employee are a good match, we find a way to hire great people when they are available.

Nail Technicians

Requirements

  • Valid Nail Technician License
  • Current Insurance
  • Non-compete clause (cannot be employed by another facility within 10 miles of Schenden’s Spas locations.

Responsibilities

  • Build client business through consistent rebooking and special requests.
  • Be available during scheduled days and times.
  • In advance, find coverage with other technicians to fill time-off and vacation requests.
  • Keep nail room clean, stocked and professional.
  • Attend all nail/spa educational meetings.
  • Be effectively trained on all nail services provided by Schenden’s Spas especially the services that are exclusive to Schenden’s Spas.
  • Effective communication and team attitude with all employees is mandatory.

Massage Therapists

Receptionists

Description

The receptionist is the first point of contact for many clients and therefore creates the first impression of Schenden’s Spas. This busy job requires the ability to remain calm and organized and multitask through many interruptions. The receptionist serves as liaison between clients and service providers. Receptionist must perform and follow through with clerical and secretarial activities inherent to spa operations including scheduling, phone responsibilities, product sales, and customer service. 20-32 hours per week, some evenings and Saturdays required. Hourly wage determined by experience and performance.

Work Environment and Conditions

Work is performed in a hectic spa environment that must always feel tranquil from a client perspective. Must be able to deal with busy telephone system and handle multiple tasks with calm confidence.

Performance Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Mature, calm, pleasant, professional demeanor
  • Friendly and professional phone voice
  • Familiarity with day spa services
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone system
  • Computer skills absolutely necessary (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to learn spa scheduling and spa computer program quickly

Requirements

EDUCATION - High school graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE - 2 years of receptionist experience
